Hexagons, in particular, are often seen in nature: bee hives are the common example, but definitely not the only: Basalt columns, insect eyes, turtle shells also form hexagonal patterns. But what makes hexagons so special?
Well, as it turns out, it really is all about math. A hexagon is the shape that best fills a plane with equal size units and leaves no wasted space. Hexagonal packing also minimizes the perimeter for a given area because of its 120-degree angles. ᔕᗩᑕᖇEᗪᔕᑭIᑎᔕ sought to explore and utilize these properties in designing a spinner maximizing ergonomics, high angular momentum (gyroscopic feel), and sacred esthetic! ⬡

Hexed features a novel dodeca-arrangement of hexagons encasing the bearing. Not only does this add to the visual element, but the geometry of this shape uses the least amount of material to hold the most weight (why bees form a hex base honeycomb). Through utilizing this Hex-hole geometry the highest amount of angular momentum could be added into the design.
The signature swirling inward top/bottom faces in combination with hex ‘speed-holes’ around the bearing, greatly enhance the gyroscopic feel and continues to push the envelope of many popular design elements. Each of the six outer edge faces are flattened in the middle with gracious rounding on every edge and corner. This allows for the design to stand on it’s side (stackable!) and ergonomic finger surface area with zero ‘hotspots’. Additionally, the shape, size and contours of the body provide a nice worry stone feel. This design features new 24.6mm Hex Pool buttons that offer deep bowl shaped ergonomic grip to the lip. Comes loaded with a shielded SS bearing & an additional FZ HC3 bearing included.

HC3z is the ZR02 version of the Wildly popular original HC3 R188 bearing. Sporting the same crown style retainer, this bearing offers incredibly smooth and fast spins with the same tight tolerance as the Si3n4 counterpart. Spin times are above average. Signature is low and feedback is minimal with a "glassy" Zr02 feel.
